In Romania, sex education is still an optional subject in schools. Despite campaigning over the course of two years to add sex education as a mandatory subject in school curriculum, the Chamber of Deputies in Romania introduced a highly unfavourable bill in 2022, which limits sex education to students in 8th grade and above.

We are proud that our editorial project covering various topics including fertility, common myths about menstruation, sexual violence in digital spaces, drug use, and emotional hygiene had impact among the teenagers in Romania, gathering more than 30.000 interactions (likes, comments, shares, saves) on the social media platforms.
